We hosted a webinar presentation describing 10 creative ways families have used public funds for IDD adults through the Self-Determination Program (SDP). Through SDP, families with loved ones who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are able to have much more control over the spending of their public California funds to better suit their personalized needs and goals.
This event was designed for families learning about the program, families looking for advice on managing SDP, and regional center case managers seeking best practices to better serve their clients. The hope was that this webinar would provide the knowledge and tools to help attendees make informed decisions for their loved ones or clients. Attendees were also encouraged to bring any questions to our open Q&A at the end.
