Amber Garland-1
Transition Navigator

Hi, my name is Amber

I moved to California in 2018 and started working as a Board Certified Autism Therapist, providing in-home ABA therapy for kids. Seeing the progress my clients made and getting to work so closely with their families laid the foundation for the work I get to do now.

What is important to me...

Individuals and families deserve respect, empathy, active listening, honesty, and problem solving from the people who support them.

I am known for...

Being someone people feel comfortable with and can really talk to. My hope is that every person I work with feels a little more at ease by the end of our first conversation.

I really enjoy...

Spending time with my kids. We love going to concerts, traveling, and swimming together. I also love to read and cook for the people I care about.

Experience

Before joining NeuroNav, Amber worked with Children and Family Services, providing parenting classes, community resources, and referrals to other agencies. She then joined Far Northern Regional Center as a service coordinator, first supporting individuals with complex needs ages six and up, then transferring to the children's unit to work with kids six and under. With every role, she has done her best to listen to the individuals and families she serves so they feel heard and supported.
