David Castilla
Independent Facilitator

Hi, my name is David

Growing up in a family of immigrants, I saw firsthand the challenges my family faced navigating systems to receive support, and I never wanted to see others face those same challenges. That experience gave me a strong desire to help those in underserved communities and those in need, and it's been the driving force behind my career ever since.

What is important to me...

People deserve someone who is knowledgeable about all things SDP, genuinely cares about them, and will show up to advocate for their needs and goals.

I am known for...

Being kind, professional, and getting things done. Whether I'm advocating to the regional center, calling the FMS to make sure everything is running smoothly, or simply lending an ear, I care about the families I work with and I make sure they get the most out of SDP.

I really enjoy...

Going to the beach and spending time with loved ones, especially my kitten, Pluto. I also help out at my local animal shelter in my free time, which is something that genuinely fills my cup!

Experience

Before joining NeuroNav, David was a social worker at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami. There he served individuals battling cancer, connecting them with resources and support to help them continue treatment and navigate an incredibly difficult time. That experience deeply shaped how he shows up for people today — with patience, care, and a commitment to making hard situations a little easier.
